Another Peravia bank lawsuit: Executives ‘stole’ RD$59.0M
Santo Domingo.- Another lawsuit filed Monday accuses the collapsed Peravia bank’s top executives of stealing RD$59.0 million from a customer’s savings account.
The lawsuit filed by Bertha Fernández with National District prosecutor Yeni Berenice Reynoso accuses Peravia executives –several still at large- of conspiracy, breach of trust, forgery, fraud, money laundering, among other felonies.
The lawsuit names Peravia president Nelson Serret Sugrañez; chief administrator Gabriel Arturo Jimenez Aray; vice president Carlos Alberto Serret Sugrañez; secretary Jorge Serret Sugrañez; majority shareholder José Luis Santoro Castellanos, among others.
The bank’s top executives also face another indictment for allegedly setaling US$3.0 million.
