Haitians attack immigration agents in Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo.- A mobof Haitians armed with guns, clubs and stones on Monday attacked an ImmigrationAgency patrol during a sweep of documented aliens, on 27 de Febrero Av., inSanto Domingo West.

Immigration said theHaitians struck various agents and caused considerable damage to their patrolvehicle.

In a statement,Immigration said the vehicle´s windshield was broken while two inspectors wereinjured in several parts of the body, and were taken to a medical center. “One undocumentedHaitian who was detained in the vehicle was also injured by stones.
