Judges must be thoroughly probed in crisis ´we´ll remember sadly´
Santo Domingo.- Presidencylegal adviser Cesar Pina on Wednesday said the Justice Ministry and the SupremeCourt should thoroughly investigate the alleged manipulation by five judges toestablish criminal or civil penalties in accordance with the felony.
He said the processmust be thorough and rigorous to prevent recurrence "within a power thatshould be so sensitive regarding respect for the rules."
"I hope it’s justa chapter that we´ll remember sadly at some point," he official said inreference to the suspension without pay of judges José Duvergé Mejía, RosóVallejo Espinosa, Víctor Mejía Lebrón, Awilda Reyes Beltré and Delio GermánFigueroa.

For his part Chamber ofDeputies president Abel Martinez on Wednesday said the Dominican justice system"must play a key role in fighting crime which is currently gripping theDominican Republic."
