Dominican lawmaker firm as Transparency´s 3rd most corrupt
Santo Domingo.- DominicanRepublic ruling party (PLD) senator Felix Bautista continues firmly in thirdplace in Transparency International´s (TI) "grand corruption" survey,followed by Brazil’s state-owned oil company Petrobras and former Ukraine presidentViktor Yanukovych.
At last count Petrobrashas 10,689 votes; Yanukovych 11,303, while Bautista, who was charged withembezzling and laundering more than US$100 million has 9,573.
The lawmaker from westernSan Juan province had led the ratings just a few weeks ago.
The voting period,which lasts until February the 9th is conducted throughwww.unmaskthecorrupt.org website is part of the "Expose the corrupt" bythe organization based in Germany.
