Dominican institutions that fight HIV-AIDS receive funds
Santo Domingo.- National HIV-AIDS Council (Conavihisida) director Victor Terrero on Friday said the Global Fund to Fight AIDS provided US$25 million to his institution to combat the disease.
Terrero said Conavihisida and Huberto Bogaert Díaz Dermatology and Surgery Institute (IDCP) immediately gave the amount of RD$133.4 million to Dominican institutions that fight AIDS.
The directors of the main recipient institutions said that the entry into force of the "Support for key populations at higher risk for HIV: 2016-2018" program will help reduce new HIV infections and increase the life expectancy of people living with HIV.
