Transit authorities to improve road safety with new vehicles

Santo Domingo.- The Metropolitan Transit Authority (Amet) announced that a recent donation of trucks and motorcycles will help its agents to strengthen road safety and prevent accidents.
The Transit authorities said the communities that will benefit from the donation are Barahona, La Romana, San Juan de la Maguana, Bonao, La Cumbre, San Francisco de Macoris and Santiago.
The keys to the new vehicles were handed by Colonel Felix Gomez Geraldino on behalf of AMET director Frener Bello. "We are working on strengthening road safety around the country to prevent traffic accidents and deaths," Colonel Gomez Geraldino pointed out.
