Tourism Press, Santo Domingo Hotels pact to promote the city

Santo Domingo.- Dominican Tourism Press Association(ADOMPRETUR) president Jose Luis Chavez and Santo Domingo Hotels Association (AHSD)president Roberto Henriquez signed an agreement to bolster journalists’ knowledgeof the hospitality industry and project Greater Santo Domingo’s touristattractions as the country’s main urban destination.

The agreement includes actions to improve the good tourism imageof the city of Santo Domingo and surroundings.

In a statement, ADOMPRETUR said it would promote theDominican Republic’s tourist attractions, and society’s acceptance of thesector and strengthen bonds among journalists, the media and public and private,tourism related institutions.

“We agreed to contribute to improve the understanding andinterest of journalists and other communicators in the tourism industry, spreadinginformation on local and international tourism contributes to the society andits leaders assume with full awareness of the importance of tourism foreconomic and social development.”
