Magnitude 4.1 quake shakes east region

Santo Domingo.- The Santo Domingo State University (UASD) SeismologyInstitute reported a 4.1 magnitude quake 37 kilometers northwest of San Pedroprovince Wednesday morning.

It said the quake occurred at 4:18am at a depth of 107kilometers.

The tremor was felt at Las Americas Airport, part of theNational District and several east region towns with no reports of damage.
