Small craft warning issued as high waves pound Atlantic coast

Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) on Mondayissued small craft warnings for the Atlantic coast from Cabo Engaño in the eastto Manzanillo in the northwest, on higher than normal waves and winds. Itrecommends that boaters stay in port or operate near shore.

Meanwhile the National Weather Office forecasts seasonablymild temperatures will continue across the country.

ONAMET said a frontal trough moves away from the country,while another system arrives from the northwest of the country, causing light showersin the afternoon and early evening.
