Traffic restored on Jarabacoa-Constanza road, after landslides

Santiago.- Traffic which had been halted during 12 hours onthe Jarabacoa-Constanza tourist road was restored Monday, after landslides unleashedby downpours.
Heavy vehicles had removed the boulders by Monday morningand traffic resumed on the road rebuilt around 2012 at a cost of more than US$100million.
The rains also drenched other towns in central La Vega Province,while the Emergency Operations Cener (COE) warned residents that continuing downpourspose a high risk of flash floods.
