La Romana-Bayahibe hotels still top all others in occupancy

La Romana, Dominican Republic.- the president-elect of the La Romana-Bayahibe HotelAssociation on Thursday said La Romana continued as the country’s leading destination in hoteloccupancy with 84.86% in 2015, and an annual average increase of 0.5% over theprevious year.

Daniel Hernandez stressed the destination’s leadership asevent organizer and cited Bayahibe’s 10k Marathon and the La Romana-Bayahibe GolfTournament, in its fifth edition this year.

"Thanks to a sustained stable climate, compliance withsafety standards and conservation of environmental resources, combined with itsstrategic location currently make La Romana one of the most attractive toinvest places in the Dominican Republic, which also increases the value ofexisting investments," the hotelier said.

Hernandez spoke after being reelected president of theHotels Association, formed Casa de Campo , Be Live Collection Canoa, CataloniaGran Dominicus, Dreams La Romana, Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus, Viva WyndhamDominicus and Cadaques Bayahibe.
