Flash flood alert for most regions on relentless downpours

Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) on Thurs. raised to 20 provinces under flash flooding alerts on the relentless downpours, the result of a trough, associated with a low pressure system.

It said flash flood warnings were posted for the western provinces of Barahona, Independencia and Pedernales.

For its part, the National Weather Office (Onamet) forecasts a significant increase in downpours today and Saturday, for all regions except the northwest.
