Meteorology forecasts hot temperatures and showers for this Thursday
SANTO DOMINGO. – The National Office of Meteorology ( ONAMET ) predicts hot temperatures and cloud development on Thursday with isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon towards some locations in the Central Cordillera, border area, as well as the northeast and southeast regions, due to the effects of one valley.
On Friday, a new tropical wave and trough will be affecting the weather conditions causing scattered showers that can be moderate, with isolated thunder and wind gusts, towards the northeast, southeast, southwest, Central mountain range.
On Saturday it is expected that the tropical wave will move quickly, giving way to conditions of less rainfall, which will result in showers and isolated thunderstorms to the southeast, southwest, the Central Mountain range and the border area.
The temperatures will be quite hot, therefore ONAMET recommends that the population drink enough liquids to stay hydrated, wear light clothes, preferably light colors, and avoid prolonged exposure to solar radiation between 11:00 am and 4: 00 pm
