Virus claims life of acclaimed sculptor ‘El Artístico’

Santo Domingo.- Acclaimed sculptor and philanthropist, José Ignacio Morales “El Artístico” died early Tuesday, affected by the coronavirus.

Raymundo Gonzáles, president of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRD) in La Romana, confirmed the demise by phone to local media.

The native of La Roman was in a delicate state of health after contracting the coronavirus and was not responding to the treatment.
