Barahona and Pedernales launch joint tourism and cultural festival
Barahona, DR.- Barahona and Pedernales are set to host the “Two Cities, One Destination” Tourism and Cultural Festival from October 4 to 12, 2024, coinciding with Barahona’s patron saint festivities. Mayors Mictor Emilio Fernández of Barahona and Alfredo Francés of Pedernales, during a joint press conference, emphasized that this collaboration aims to promote both provinces as a unified tourist destination, showcasing their cultural and natural offerings. The event, supported by local business leaders and public representatives, seeks to stimulate regional tourism and economic growth.
The festival will feature a diverse lineup of cultural, tourist, artistic, recreational, and sports activities, reinforcing the integration of the two provinces. Barahona’s mayor invited residents, especially those from Santo Domingo and abroad, to participate in this historic event.
