Santo Domingo International Book Fair 2024 highlights discounts of up to 50%

Santo Domingo.- The XXVI Santo Domingo International Book Fair (FILSD 2024) is drawing large crowds at the Juan Pablo Duarte Cultural Plaza from November 7 to 17, with literature enthusiasts taking advantage of significant discounts on diverse literary offerings. This year’s fair celebrates the acclaimed writer Mateo Morrison, 2010 National Literature Award winner, and honors the Washington Heights community as a special guest, embodying the theme “Books connect” to emphasize reading’s role in bridging cultures.

Among the many promotions, the National Publishing House offers children’s books for just 500 pesos, while exhibitors like La Pereza Ediciones, Susaeta, and Editorial MR&T present discounts up to 50% on academic and historical works. Grupo Planeta has a 20% discount across its catalog, including popular titles like Game of Thrones and The Wheel of Time. Additional exhibitors, such as the Juan Bosch Foundation, Books World, and Didácticos Perú, offer unique deals, while the Comic Book Pavilion includes free gifts with purchases.

A central attraction, the Reading Walk, features over 70 bookstores offering books from 50 pesos, covering a wide array of genres from classic novels to cookbooks.
