Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Civil Aviation Institute (IDAC) recently held its annual “Flying High” event to recognize the exceptional contributions of its employees. During the ceremony, which took place as part of Dominican Aviation Week 2024, a total of 365 employees were honored for their loyalty and commitment to the organization.

The awards were presented in two categories: loyalty and personal development. Recipients were recognized for their years of service, ranging from five to 40 years. Additionally, eight employees were acknowledged for their outstanding achievements in professional development.

IDAC Director General Igor Rodríguez Durán expressed his gratitude for the hard work and dedication of the honorees. “You, with your daily commitment, are the engine that drives our flight towards a better future. In these first 100 days of management, we have set a clear course. We have set out to transform not only the way we work but also the way we serve our nation,” said Rodríguez Durán.

The director general emphasized the significance of aviation as a catalyst for economic development and social progress. “Aviation is not just a means of transportation, it is also a bridge that connects destinations, that drives economic development and is a door that opens opportunities for all,” he stated.

Maribel López Llano, IDAC’s Human Resources Director, also addressed the gathering, thanking the employees for their dedication and hard work. She highlighted the importance of recognizing and rewarding employees for their contributions to the organization’s success.

The “Flying High” event is a testament to IDAC’s commitment to its employees and its ongoing efforts to foster a positive and productive work environment. By recognizing the achievements of its staff, the IDAC is not only boosting morale but also setting a high standard for excellence in the Dominican aviation industry.
