Meteorology forecasts scattered rains in regions
National Territory—The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) forecasts scattered showers and occasional wind gusts today for locations in the northwest, north, northeast, eastern plains, and central cordillera.
The weather forecasting agency reported that the rainfall will affect the towns of María Trinidad Sánchez, Hermanas Mirabal, Samaná, Espaillat, Puerto Plata, Monte Cristi, Valverde, Santiago, Elías Piña, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, San Pedro de Macorís, Samaná and Monte Plata.
Meteorology predicts low temperatures, especially in mountains and valleys, where episodes of fog could occur. In Greater Santo Domingo, it will be partly cloudy, with scattered showers. The minimum temperature will be 20°C and 22°C, and the maximum will be 30°C and 32°C.
The Emergency Operations Center (COE) maintains a green alert for Puerto Plata and Espaillat.
Extended forecast
For tomorrow, Sunday, there will be moderate rains with isolated thunderstorms and gusts of wind over provinces on the Atlantic coastal coast.
