Ship carrying 26 million gallons of LPG arrives in the country

San Pedro de Macorís, DR.- The Freycinet vessel, capable of carrying over 26 million gallons of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), arrived at the San Pedro de Macorís terminal on Tuesday to address recent supply shortages affecting the private sector.

The Dominican Petroleum Refinery (Refidomsa) confirmed that this shipment will allow distributors and fuel stations to resume normal operations. Refidomsa President Leonardo Aguilera clarified that the company was not responsible for the supply delays and reaffirmed its readiness to assist other importers when needed.

With this delivery, private-sector fuel stations can replenish their stocks, ensuring continued LPG availability for transportation, industry, and household use.

We need to get off the LPG dependency by building energy the right way. Solar and wind with batteries would give the power to the people. Prices would go down a lot. Thanks to China, solar is crazy cheap. Battery costs are at an all time low. Do it the right way and never worry about it again.
