U.S. repatriates 109 Dominicans for immigration violations

Santo Domingo.- The United States repatriated 109 Dominicans on Tuesday for violating immigration laws and other federal offenses. This brings the total number of deported Dominicans under the current administration of President Donald Trump to 195.

The group arrived at Las Américas International Airport aboard a Globolx charter flight from the U.S. Authorities from the General Directorate of Migration, CESAC, and other agencies processed the returnees upon arrival. The repatriations follow President Trump’s directive for stricter immigration enforcement, leading to selective raids targeting individuals with criminal records. However, undocumented migrants without criminal histories are often detained and deported as well.

Besides Dominicans, deportations have included nationals from Guatemala, El Salvador, Colombia, Haiti, Cuba, and Honduras. Last week, 86 Dominicans were also repatriated and taken to the Haina Vacation Selection Center in San Cristóbal for processing and reintegration.
