Meteorology issues tsunami warning for the coasts of the Dominican Republic after earthquake in the Caribbean

The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) issued a tsunami warning for the Dominican Republic’s coasts on Saturday at 8:15 p.m. after the 7.6-magnitude earthquake in the Caribbean, with an epicenter in northern Honduras.

Well !!!! The alert did not reach many Dominicanos, including this poster and family. It may be suggested emergency alerts be issued by wireless emergency text. Most of the population has a smart phone.
