“Filling the country with art schools is a fundamental objective for the government of President Luis Abinader,” Salcedo said, after assuring that his mission is to comply with the president’s directives faithfully.

Similarly, the minister assured that culture must be separated from any political ideology by participating in activities in which figures from different political currents participated in Villa Tapia.

At this meeting, the minister swore in the Organizing Committee of the Mirabal Sisters Villa Tapia Cultural Festival 2025, during a ceremony in which its permanent president, Bautista Rojas, and former Vice President Jaime David Fernández Mirabal participated.

The municipal mayor, Raquel Rosario, and the Cuban ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Ángel Arzuaga, representative of the country invited to this year’s edition of the festival, which is held biennially in November, were present at the event.
