Authorities block access to the Altar of the Fatherland. Ancient Order issues warning

Santo Domingo—Security forces have blocked access to the Altar of the Fatherland. This space was to be used as a staging area for the former Dominican Order in protest against another parallel demonstration with “pro-Haitian” intentions.

The movement’s leader, Angelo Vasquez, told journalist Ninoska Cuevas of the newspaper Hoy Digital that the army has cordoned off the area so that no demonstrators can enter.

However, he warned that if this is not respected, “there will be problems,” but if it is complied with, “they will be smarter in respecting the area and achieving their purpose.”

“We are going to paralyze the entire country,” he urged.
