Haitian officials inspect Dominican deportation procedures

Dajabón.- In response to concerns raised at the Organization of American States (OAS) over the Dominican Republic’s immigration policies, a Haitian government commission arrived in Dajabón to observe the detention and repatriation procedures for undocumented Haitian migrants.
The commission’s visit aimed to verify reports of mistreatment by Dominican authorities, including allegations of abuse during deportations. According to the Haitian consulate, the officials are working to ensure that the human rights of undocumented migrants are upheld, in line with international standards, and that individuals receive humane and dignified treatment.
Recent incidents in Dajabón have drawn criticism, including videos showing the town’s mayor removing undocumented Haitian minors from public spaces and allegations of abuse by the Military Police near the border market. Immigration agents also reportedly detained Haitian minors who had climbed onto a house roof, further raising concerns about the treatment of vulnerable groups.
They should be focusing on the gangs who are killing their own people every day. The Haitian government is the biggest joke in this part of the world.”
and if the Haitian officials do not like what they see, they should load the illegal’s in their buses and take them across the border. End of this circus, this crap has got to stop. What’s next, Haitian officials inspecting Dominican public hospitals that allow Haitian pregnant women to give birth while having no status in the DR? .
