Dominican Republic maintains suspension of flights to Venezuela

Santo Domingo.- The president of the Civil Aviation Board (JAC), Héctor Porcella, clarified that the Dominican Republic has not yet made a decision regarding the resumption of commercial flights to Venezuela, despite recent claims from Venezuelan authorities suggesting otherwise.

Porcella emphasized that the Dominican government is still evaluating the matter and will act in accordance with national interests and international recommendations. He confirmed that flights between the two countries remain suspended until an official resolution is issued.

The suspension, in place since 2021, was originally implemented for security reasons. Any updates on the situation, Porcella added, will be communicated through official government channels.
