INDEX launches fourth edition of “De Quisqueya para el Mundo” to celebrate Dominican identity abroad

Santo Domingo.- The Institute of Dominicans Abroad (INDEX) has released the fourth edition of its magazine, “De Quisqueya para el Mundo” (From Quisqueya to the World), covering the first half of 2025. The publication celebrates Dominican identity and diaspora pride, while showcasing activities led by the Vice Ministry for Dominican Communities Abroad through INDEX offices worldwide.

At the launch event, Vice Minister Celinés Toribio, also Executive Director of INDEX, described the magazine as a voice of the diaspora—a platform where Dominicans living abroad share their stories, achievements, and the initiatives that bring them closer to their roots. She emphasized that the publication honors artists, athletes, thinkers, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who reflect the enduring Dominican spirit around the world.

Reina Rosario, Director of Promotion of National Identity and editor of the magazine, highlighted notable contributions in this edition, including articles by Luisa de Peña (founder of the Dominican Resistance Memorial Museum) and Joan Ferrer (director of national book fairs). Special interviews feature baseball player Emilio Bonifacio, author Edwin Castillo, singer and writer Fantine Pritoula, and writer Farah Fallal.

With 24 featured articles, the magazine is available digitally on the INDEX website and on its social media platforms, continuing to serve as a bridge of love, culture, and national pride for Dominicans abroad.
