Dominican Republic secures FIA events at American Congress in Asunción

Asunción, Paraguay.- The Dominican Republic stood out at the Asunción 2025 American Congress, a key motorsports summit that gathered the region’s top authorities. Over three days, the country positioned itself as a continental benchmark, with Dominican Automobile Federation (FDA) president Adriano Abreu Sued playing a leading role. His interventions helped secure unanimous approval for the Dominican Republic to host two FIA events, boosting both the sport’s visibility and the nation’s international brand.

A meeting with FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem further reinforced the country’s progress, as he praised Dominican motorsports and the cohesion achieved within the NACAM region. Among major announcements, Abreu Sued confirmed that the country will host the second American E-Sports Championship, proposed the creation of a Pan-American Karting Championship, and hinted at the possibility of the congress returning to the Caribbean in the future.

The congress, held August 25–27 in Asunción, gathered 22 FIA clubs from across the Americas. Looking ahead, the Dominican Republic will participate in the NACAM Games in Puebla this September, while three Dominican officials will undergo FIA training in South America later this year.
