World champ Gisela Pulido arrives in Punta Cana for Kite Fest
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.- World Champion Gisela Pulido has arrived in the country to compete in the 6th annual Puntacana Kite Fest, from January 23 to 26 at Playa Blanca, in Puntacana Resort & Club, as part of its 45th anniversary activities.
Hailing from Spain, Pulido is the youngest world kitesurfing champion ever, took the World Champion KPWT crown in 2004, a feat she repeated nine times.
She entered the Guinness Book of Records in 2007 as the youngest World Champion, at only 13. She opened her own "Gisela Pulido Pro Center" kite school in 2009in Tarifa, home to kiteboarding.
Her winning streak continues since and won her 9th world title in 2013.
This time Puntacana Kite Fest brings together over 50 national and international kite surfers to compete in the categories: Amateur (Career and Free Style), Professional (Slider and Kicker) and Open to all Big Air.
