Dominican Republic ends Monday’s day with a gold and three bronze

LIMA, Peru.- The Dominican Republic concluded this Monday’s day with three medals, one gold, and two bronze, for a total of ten, on the fourth day of the Pan American Games competitions held here.

The gold medal was won by Robert Pegozzi, in the water skiing competition, while the bronze ones came from the men’s and women’s 3 × 3 basketball teams and Moisés Hernández, for taekwondo.

Now the Dominican Republic has two gold medals, two silver, and six bronze medals and is in the ninth place of the general medallions.

Leonardo Reyes Robert Pigozzi exhibited his best form and technique to win the gold medal in the slalom modality of the Water Skiing sport this Monday at the XVIII Pan American Games held here.

The skier obtained the best score of the event, with 2.50 / 58 / 10.25 to win his first gold medal and the first for the country in the sport of Water Skiing in the Pan American Games.

With the Pigozzi medal, in the Aquatic Ski competitions held on Monday in Laguna Bujama, the Dominican Republic has two gold medals. The first was the one obtained by the weightlifter Beatriz Pirón last Saturday.

The silver medal went to the Canadian Stephen Neveu, who concluded the event with 2.00 / 58 / 10.25, and the bronze award was in the hands of Mexican Carlos Lamadrid, with 4.00 / 58 / 10.75.

In addition to the two gold medals, the Dominican Republic was awarded two silver and three bronze.

In the medal ratings of the Pan American Games in Lima, the country ranks ninth with a yield of two gold medals, two silver, and three bronze.

In the Pan American Games for Toronto 2015, the Dominican Republic won three gold medals, 10 silver, and 11 bronze.
