Yokohama Grand Prix Returns to Las Américas Racetrack

Santo Domingo.- Over 100 drivers and riders are set to compete in the fifth edition of the Yokohama Grand Prix, taking place on June 21–22 at the Las Américas International Racetrack, the Dominican Republic’s premier speed venue. This major event, sanctioned by the Dominican Automobile Federation (FDA) and the Dominican Motorcycling Federation (FDM), serves as the second scoring round of the National Championship for both motorsports and motorcycle racing.

The Grand Prix promises an adrenaline-filled, family-friendly experience beginning at 10:00 a.m. each day, with categories including Turismo Nacional (TN), Street Touring (ST), Stock Dominican Series (SDS), Racing Sedan (RS), Pro-Bike, Street-Bike, and the elite 600cc Super Sports. Saturday will feature lower-cylinder motorcycle races and qualifying rounds.

Caremax Group, official distributor of Yokohama in the country since 2015, continues to sponsor the event, reaffirming its commitment to local motorsports. FDA president Adriano Abreu Sued praised the impact of the partnership with Yokohama, citing improved race quality. Diego Campos of the FDM emphasized the competitive spirit and excitement the event will deliver, calling it a true “2-for-1 in speed.”

Tickets are available in advance at CARLAB and on-site during the weekend, with prices set at RD$500 (Grandstands), RD$1,500 (Paddock), and RD$5,000 (VIP). The event is supported by top brands such as Banreservas, Toyota Gazoo Racing, Arajet, Honda, and many more, ensuring a high-energy weekend of racing at the island’s top track.
