Santo Domingo.- An eco-friendly deodorant and an electricity-generating gym are just two of the 12 innovations created by 12 high school graduates who took part in the Innovative Summer Camp (CVI) organized by the National Office for Industrial Property (Onapi).

They also created an air purifier, a multipurpose water and salt lamp, and a dual-function anti-asphyxia mask for occlusion and toxic gases.

Onapi set up the program with the aim of improving the Dominican Republic’s innovation ecosystem and diffusion of Industrial Property.

The finalists presented their projects to a panel of judges made up of CVI facilitators, Onapi patent examiners and representatives from several institutions.
