Medina cuts ribbon on major housing project in Punta Cana

Punta Cana, DominicanRepublic.- President Danilo Medina on Monday cut the ribbon on 360 apartments asthe first stage of the Ciudad Cayena housing project in Punta Cana (east).

Hoyo Claro Developing GroupCouncil chairman Frank Elijah Ranieri said the housing project features 3,500low-cost units for workers and families, valued from RD$700,000 to RD$1.8 millionamong one, two and three bedroom apartments.

Hoyo Claro aims to accomplishurban development to fill a affordable housing market niche in the ??Bavaro areawith level of satisfaction provided by the organization and the best infrastructureappropriate for the area.

In addition to opening CiudadCayena at 10am, Medina was also expected to head ribbon cutting for Club MedPunta Cana at 2:15pm, and Punta Cana International Airport´s Terminal A afterthat.
