Civil Aviation announces new flights Madrid, Mexico City

Santo Domingo.- The Civil Aviation Board (JAC) on Wednesdayannounced approval of permits foreign carriers Orbest and Aerolitoral to operateregular flights between Madrid-Punta Cana and Santo Domingo-Mexico City.

The carrier Orbest airline will operate regularly scheduledpassenger and cargo flights between Madrid and Punta Cana, while Mexico’s Aerolitoralwas authorized to do likewise between Mexico City and Santo Domingo.

The two carriers join the 53 foreign airlines currentlyoperatin in the country, the JAC said in a statement.

Among the 212 new routes figure the cities of New Orleans,Nashville, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Baltimore, Houston, Charlotte, Dallas andCleveland in the US; Buenos Aires, Medellin and Caracas in South America,and Montreal and Ottawa in Canada.
