Delta introduces daily Atlanta-Puerto Plata flight
Puerto Plata.- Delta Airlines has launched a new daily flight route between Atlanta and Puerto Plata, enhancing air connectivity for the northern region of the Dominican Republic and boosting tourism. Operated through the Gregorio Luperón International Airport (POP) by Aeropuertos Dominicanos Siglo XXI (Aerodom), the new service aims to facilitate both business and leisure travel, strengthening ties between the two destinations.
The inaugural flight, DL 1777, arrived from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, the world’s busiest airport, which connects to over 200 destinations globally. This route provides an essential transit option for travelers, further promoting tourism and business exchanges.
The daily service departs Atlanta at 11:25 AM, arriving in Puerto Plata at 3:30 PM, with the return flight leaving Puerto Plata at 4:40 PM and landing in Atlanta at 7:15 PM. The route is operated on a Boeing 737-800, accommodating up to 160 passengers.
