Dominican Republic to host MICFootball 2025

Santo Domingo.- For the first time in its history, the Dominican Republic will host MICFootball, the world’s leading youth soccer tournament. Set to take place from June 24 to 29, 2025, in Punta Cana’s Cap Cana Sports City, the event will welcome over 2,000 elite young players and 1,000 accompanying guests, marking a major milestone in sports tourism and international visibility for the country.
The expansion of MICFootball from its traditional base in Spain to the Americas was announced by MIC President David Bellver and Dominican Tourism Minister David Collado, with support from key partners including Banco de Reservas, Asonahores, and Cap Cana. Bellver emphasized that this move preserves MIC’s mission: “to build a bridge between passion, training, and opportunity” for future football stars. Collado highlighted the tournament’s significance as “a platform for youth development, tourism promotion, and global positioning of the Dominican Republic.”
The 2025 edition will feature youth teams from over 20 countries, including top-tier clubs like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid, Olympique de Marseille, Bayer Leverkusen, Inter Miami, LA Galaxy, River Plate, Club América, and Santos FC. All matches will be streamed live and on demand via MICFootball TV, ensuring international exposure.
Known for launching football legends such as Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., and Gavi, MICFootball has a legacy of excellence. With the Dominican Republic now part of its journey, the tournament brings not only high-level competition but also a long-term opportunity to promote the nation as a hub for global youth football.
