Arajet’s flights to Puerto Rico will have an economic impact of more than US$13 million.

Willamette Robles Cancel, executive director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC), indicated that the launch of the Dominican airline Arajet‘s route would have an annual economic impact of US$9.6 million for the Santo Domingo route and US$4.1 million for the Punta Cana route.
She stated that the route, with four flights per week, will generate significant passenger traffic and boost tourism between the two nations, as it represents approximately 38,400,800 seats added to the existing inventory between the two islands.
“This alliance is an important part of expanding relations between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico ,” she added, according to Recorriendo con Salvador.
