Leading telecom guarantees array of services on election day
Santo Domingo.- Dominican Republic’s biggest telecom on Mondayguaranteed its service to the Central Electoral Board (JCE) for the May 15 generalelections, and said it’s ready to meet the process’ transmission andcommunication needs.
In a visit to JCE president Roberto Rosario, Claro DominicanRepublic president Oscar Peña said his company’s telecom network meets thehighest quality standards to stage the process.
Claro is in charge of supplying fiber optic internet andfixed data connection and IP Trunking services for the JCE call center and ‘fonojunta’service.
Peña said Claro also provide a telephone exchange that will"automatic call distribution for actors in the process."
The phone company will work with a specialized staff on ElectionDay to support the JCE in any eventuality.
Peña, accompanied by senior executives Freddy Dominguez andWalter Schall, said Claro’s hub network will be at the JCE’s disposal, sot itcan monitor fixed and mobile networks nationwide.
