Blind people graduate as massage specialists

The National Board of the Blind introduced 34 new professionals to society who specialize in massages using Japanese techniques. The graduation ceremony took place on Wednesday, November 30, in the Rafael Aguayo Room at the board of trustees’ main headquarters. Alexandra Ventura, the institution’s president, emphasized their enthusiasm and the efforts made by the new massage and rehabilitation professionals to achieve their goals during the inauguration.

Similarly, Ventura praised the teachers’ dedication and the board of trustees’ tenacity in demonstrating that losing vision does not impede continuing their education. Similarly, the president encouraged Dominican companies and businesses in the beauty, hotel, and therapeutic sectors to trust and employ people with visual disabilities. “Today marks the start of a new chapter for them and their families, which is why the National Board of the Blind is so proud to have contributed a grain of sand to the future of each of you, your families, and Dominican society,” he said. 

Various personalities, including Shunsake Sakaki, Instructor and Volunteer of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, Professor Pascual de Jess de La Cruz, and executives from other organizations related to the Board of Trustees, attended the act.
