A trough will cause rains in 18 provinces

Santo Domingo—The trough affecting the country and the east/northeast wind will cause isolated showers in La Altagracia, Hato Mayor, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez, and Duarte province from the early hours of this morning.

The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) also predicted that in the afternoon, the rains would touch Monte Plata, San Pedro de Macorís, San Cristóbal, Sánchez Ramírez, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, Santiago, Azua, Elías Piña, San Juan, Dajabón, Santo Domingo and the National District.

The agency predicts that temperatures will continue to be hot due to the time of year, so it asks the population to wear light clothing, drink enough fluids, and avoid the sun’s rays, especially from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Meteorology reported that in Greater Santo Domingo, the weather will be cloudy, with local downpours and thunderstorms until the early hours of the night.

He added that the minimum temperature will be between 24 °C and 26 °C and the maximum between 32 °C and 34 °C.
