Marileidy Paulino promoted to First Lieutenant by Dominican Air Force
Santo Domingo.- On Wednesday, the Dominican Republic Air Force (FARD) promoted Marileidy Paulino, Olympic medalist in the 400 meters, to the rank of first lieutenant by order of President Luis Abinader.
Paulino’s promotion, issued through General Order 71-2024, recognizes her outstanding achievement at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where she won a gold medal, bringing international acclaim to the Dominican Republic.
Several other athletes who participated in the Paris Olympics were also honored alongside Paulino. Boxers Cristian Pinales and Yunior Alcántara, who secured bronze medals at the Games, were promoted to the rank of second lieutenant. Anabel Medina Ventura, Alexander Ogando Bautista, and Audrys Nin Reyes were elevated to the rank of sergeant major. Additionally, José González Soto, Francina Martínez Caraballo, and Robert King were promoted to the rank of sergeant.
In the long run, the promotion will pay off better than the house (see other thread)! Good for her!
So far Marileidy and her handlers are doing a wonderful job…
