Attention! Instant payment system could present failures this Saturday

Santo Domingo—The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD) reported that, due to the performance of its usual global business continuity exercise, the Instant Payments service could experience intermittent disruptions between 12:00 noon and 11:00 p.m. on October 5, 2024.

This temporary interruption will mainly affect economic agents, financial intermediation entities, and the general public who use this service during the indicated period.

The exercise is being carried out in collaboration with the SWIFT Corporation, responsible for global payment messaging services.

The BCRD apologized to its users for the possible inconveniences that may arise and assured them that these exercises are essential to guarantee the quality and security of the country’s financial operations.
