Santiago Riverón delivers furnished home to low-income family in Dajabón

Dajabón —In an act of solidarity and recognition, the mayor of Dajabón, Santiago Riverón, delivered a fully equipped house to Rafael Solís Jiménez, affectionately known as “Piguito,” a municipal council driver.

The construction of the house, with an investment of more than 600,000 pesos, meets all safety standards and is designed to provide comfort to its inhabitants. The house has two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, a living room, and a gallery. In addition, it was delivered furnished with two beds, a fan, a stove with its gas tank, a set of furniture, and a refrigerator. The Social Plan of the Presidency donated these items under the direction of Yadira Henríquez.

Mayor Riverón stressed that Piguito’s dedication and commitment to his work in the city council were decisive in granting him this benefit. “Piguito has shown a genuine interest in supporting our management, which is why he earned this home. There are other employees of the council who will be rewarded for their good work; therefore, I urge everyone to continue working in favor of the municipality of Dajabón,” said the mayor.

Piguito’s family, visibly moved, thanked this gesture for transforming their quality of life and providing them with a dignified home. The community also celebrated the initiative, recognizing the municipal administration’s commitment to the well-being of its employees and citizens.

With actions like this, Mayor Santiago Riverón reaffirms his commitment to improving living conditions in Dajabón and promoting management based on empathy, recognition of merit, and service to the Municipality.
