Traffic cops to impound vehicles without lights at night
Santo Domingo.-Metropolitan Transit Authority (AMET) spokesman Diego Pesqueira warned Tuesdaythat vehicles being driven at night without front or rear lights will be retained.
The warning comes justone day after newspaper Listin reported that motorists take to the streets “withoutany control.”
"We will intensifyactions to remove all the vehicles detected stripped of their correspondinglights or reflectors," Pesqueira said.
Listin reported that passengercars and buses, taxis, motorcycles, SUVs, tractor trailers and trucks werebeing driven in the dark without lights, even in major arteries.
