Fuel prices on a roller coaster

Santo Domingo.-  The Industry and Commerce Ministry on Fri. posted the fuel prices for the week from Aug. 18 to 24, when premium gasoline will continue at RD$241.30 and regular climbs RD$2.00 to RD$228.20 per gallon

Regular diesel will cost RD$187.50, or RD$3.00 higher while premium diesel will cost RD$198.60 per gallon, or RD$1.00 lower.

Avtur will cost RD$147.90, or RD$1.00 less; kerosene goes up RD$1.00, to RD$177.30, while fuel oil will cost RD$120.85, down RD$2.00 per gallon.

Propane will still cost RD$122.30 per gallon, as well as natural gas, at RD$28.97 per cubic meter.

The Dominican Republic Central Bank’s average posted exchange rate of RD$49. 75 per dollar was used to calculate all fuel prices.
