Bernstein, State Dept. official visit Santo Domingo’s archbishop

Santo Domingo.- US ambassador, Robin Bernstein, and State Dept. undersecretary for Educational and Cultural Affairs, Marie Royce, on Wed. visited Santo Domingo archbishop Francisco Ozoria at America’s first Cathedral.

“In the visit to the Cathedral of Santo Domingo, the oldest in America, Undersecretary Marie Royce was able to observe the conservation work that was completed years ago thanks to the Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation,” the US Embassy tweeted.

As part of his stay in the country, from April 23 to 29, Royce will meet with several government officials, alumni of the Educational and Cultural Affairs program, members of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs, among other groups.
