Immigration deports 1,373 illegal aliens in the last four days

Santo Domingo.- Immigration on Thurs. reported the detention in the last four days of 1,373 illegal aliens, 1,121 of them Haitians who were immediately sent to their country, through the different border points.

The remaining 212 illegal aliens, including Venezuelans, Colombians, Americans, Peruvians, Chinese and other nationalities, were taken to the Refugee Center in Haina, to await repatriation.

“The detentions of the undocumented persons took place in the National District, provinces of Santo Domingo, Valverde, Azua, Dajabón, Espaillat, Santiago, Montecristi and Duarte. In the National District and Valverde was where there were the most arrests,” Immigration said.

It adds that during the operations immigration inspectors were supported by members of the Armed Forces and f the Justice Ministry.
