Owner of famous strip club gets 6 years in jail

Santo Domingo.- The owner of the famous Doll House strip club was sentenced to six years in jail, after being found guilty of trafficking in persons and sexual exploitation of several women who were brought from Venezuela, Colombia and other countries.

The judges of the National District 2nd panel court sentenced the club’s owner, Rafael Elías Alcántara, to serve the term at La Victoria prison.

While the magistrates of the court acquitted Santos Benjamín Rodríguez and Laura Damisela Batista, who had been charge with forming part f a criminal network that recruited women abroad, and after being in the country performed erotic dances and had sexual relations with clients in the club.
