Dominican growers look to export passion fruit pulp to Europe

Santo Domingo.- In order to explore the possibilities of exporting passion fruit pulp from the Dominican Republic to Europe, Agriculture Minister, Osmar Benítez, visited Janine Garbers of Biril Mischeff LTD, the main supplier of the European company Innocents Drinks.

The visit aims to establish contacts with Dominican fruit producers, so that Biril Mischetf LTD., affiliate of Coca-Cola, and the largest juice maker in that continent, can resume exports to Europe.

He said Agriculture will identify the passion fruit producers that meet sustainability standards, good practices, good treatment of workers, environmental offer, among other requirements that must meet to export to Europe.

“We will work with Grupo Rica and Innocents Drinks in the identification of Dominican producers that meet the quality conditions required by the foreign company.”
