General Directorate of Migration urges traveling Dominican nationals to use expedited exit system

Automated “Auto Gate” system, which will allow travelers to exit the air terminals faster.

The General Directorate of Migration on Friday urged Dominicans entering and leaving the country through the different airports to make use of the automated “Auto Gate” system, which will allow them to exit the air terminals faster.

The agency indicates that a high season of passengers is approaching and that those who use the Auto Gate system will leave the Migration rooms quickly and will have more time to search for their luggage in Customs.

Registration is available free of charge at the airports of Las Américas, Cibao de Santiago de los Caballeros, at the headquarters of the agency, and Plaza Sambil, from 8 am to 6 pm.

The agency clarified that the registration in the Automated Migration System is only for Dominicans and that it takes only minutes for their documents to be introduced and verified on the machines for this service.

“We are going to have a time of high volume passenger traffic in December, so the occasion is for the Dominicans to make use of this important Auto Gate Automated Registration System,” explains retired general lieutenant Máximo William Muñoz Delgado, director of Migration.
