Some readers want Fernandez in court, others thank him

Santo Domingo.- More than one fourth of DT readers would like to see ex president Leonel Fernandez taken to court to face alleged acts of malfeasance during his latest two terms in office, during which many sectors affirm led to the creation of the fiscal hole estimated at around RD$180.0 billion (US$3.6 billion).

When asked “What should Dominicans do with ex President Fernandez,?” the response “Start prosecution on malfeasance” drew 6,384 votes, or 28.51%, followed closely by, “Thank him for advancing the country,” with 5,937 votes, or 26.51%.

The response “Nothing, just hope he fades away,” drew 5,047 votes, or 22.54%, followed by “Ask me in about one month,” with 5,027 votes, or 22.45% of the readers who took part in the unscientific weekly poll.
